Travaller Bestiary Volume 3 is dedicated to creatures of deep seas and shorelines. Along with the statistics for 12 creatures¸ this volume also includes a section on underwater operations¸ including depressurization¸ dive limits¸ and other considerations. Allow with this section are three new underwater waepons¸ underwater equipment¸ and new Traits for undersea creatures¸ including some repeated from the Traveller Companion.
Creatures in this volume include the octopus and humpback whale from Terra¸ the murlang¸ a creature adapted for exotic fluidic 'oceans'¸ the thane worm that lives on cold¸ distant methane and ethane worldfs¸ the amphibious shore hunter¸ the deadly hell-spinner¸ and two truly immense creatures. The first is the duadi adikkhi¸ twice as long as a blue whale with the predatory instincts of a tyranosaurus rex¸ and the utterly monstrous and terrify krakenar¸ a creature bigger than many starships¸ that haunts the freezing oceans of Exile¸ the Imperial prison planet in Deneb sector. Several other smaller creatures round out the numbers in this book.
