Long ago¸ order was forged from chaos. And chaos didn't like it. Ever since¸ the Darkshayde¸ the personification of disorder¸ has been trying to return the world to what it believes is its natural state. For a time¸ it was successful¸ but then the earth developed an immune system: magic¸ and chief among the practitioners of that art are the witches.
Hexpunk offers Cepheus Engine (a direct descendant of the Original Science-Fiction Roleplaying Game) players an urban fantasy mini-campaign based on shows such as Charmed¸ The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina¸ American Horror Story: Coven¸ even Teen Witch and Bewitched¸ against the backdrop of the age-old battle between order and chaos that has stretched into the modern day. The file includes a brief overview of the war between the Darkshayde and the witches; tweaks to 2D6 Magic ¸ the magic system the campaign is based on; a brief bestiary of magical creatures; and a list of hero careers suitable for an urban fantasy romp.
