Once continental Europe had fallen to Germany¸ Britain stood alone against the Axis powers for nearly a year¸ until Hitler's attention turned to Russia and America entered the war. As the war turned against Germany¸ Britain became the launch point for the liberation of Europe and the drive into the heart of the Third Reich. The vehicles produced by Britain were often born from a desperate need and lack of resources but some were nevertheless to become some of the most famous of their type in the war.
