In the Return of the Lizard Kings¸ the characters are adventurers who have responded to a call for aid from the rulers of Endaria¸ who have a long and storied tradition of hiring adventurers to undertake all manner of different quests on behalf of their kingdom. The player characters are merely the newest company to undertake the labors of Endaria¸ and their adventure began with a simple posting on all the community boards within the capital city of Tidecrest:


WANTED: Intrepid adventurers to undertake a dangerous mission to bring law and order to the bandits plaguing the southern reaches of Endaria. Generous payment offered¸ or grants of land if preferred.
