A City Like No Other!
The Big Apple. The City That Never Sleeps. New York has many names¸ but from 1992 until 2012¸ it had another that was used more than any other: the Cursed City. Under the sway of the most powerful enchantment in history¸ New York spent twenty years with no one inside its borders able to take up weapons against one another. What could have been a blessing instead turned the streets red with unarmed brawls taking place between the forces of order and chaos in every back alley. Even in the modern era¸ this attitude lingers¸ with the city's heroes facing their nemeses in combat with little more than their powers to keep the peace.
Deadly Streets examines the city of New York¸ its heroes¸ and the villains who threaten it. The heroes called the Five Borough Brawlers (don't call them that¸ they hate it!) stand guard for the common citizen¸ protecting them from threats like the initiates of the Sacred Weapons¸ the mystically empowered street gang known as the Warlocks¸ and the ruthless warlords of the Chain Gaing. With new legacies that characters can take up from the legendary Grand Tournament of 1992 and an optional rule to tweak the system to capture the feel of back-alley combat¸ Deadly Streets is a must for street-level heroes!
