A new cult which worships Hrunda¸ a protector god of the Old Woods to the north of Esrolia. Useful for adventurers and gamemasters alike¸ Hrunda's cult is fully detailed with myths¸ traditions¸ and new Rune magic allowing worshipers to transform into devious monkeys! An appendix on the cult and heroquesting is included to inspire further adventures. The eerie Temple of the Bones where humans and Animal People worship the spirits of nature side-by-side. Capricious shamans and animal-shaped spirits have this holy site primed for exploration by adventurers. Finally¸ the series finale-a full-length adventure. In To Hunt a God¸ the adventurers attend a magical festival¸ then are swept away into the mythic landscape of the Old Woods hunting for a half-mad god.
Fleshed out with supplemental detail-such as the "delicious" Ludvik's Liquor¸ or Esrolian athletic traditions-and lovingly illustrated¸ To Hunt a God gives the series a proper finale. Our heartfelt thanks to the RuneQuest community for supporting this series the last two years.
This book currently includes Part One of the titular adventure. Part Two will be released during 2022¸ and will be a free update to everyone who has previously purchased To Hunt a God. When Part Two is released¸ this supplement's price will also increase. The Cult of Hrunda and the Temple of the Bones¸ however¸ are completed are ready for the table!
About this Series: Monster of the Month is a series of new bestiary entries for Chaosium's RuneQuest: Roleplaying in Glorantha. In addition to statblocks and behavior¸ most entries will include supplemental detail and advice for gamemasters and/or new adventurer options for players.
