In this issue of Neighborhood Highlights¸ we are going to look at one of the Viridian Elephant Headquarters.
An unnerving echo of sinister laughter lingers through the silence of the Viridian Elephant's foyer. From the outside¸ it seems like a seemingly normal¸ somewhat run-down¸ art-deco style hotel¸ the kind that was popular over 70 years ago. The door opens into a room that was once a neon-lit house of nightmares¸ now lit by flickering fluorescent bulbs. The entrance in this place is small¸ perhaps no bigger than a classroom. On the front desk stands a simple plaque proclaiming its name and purpose: "The Viridian Elephant Headquarters.”
