Tales of Blue Rose: Heartsong
An agent of the Silence finds himself at a moral crossroads when he meets a rhy-bonded Jarzoni priest-adept. About Lindsay Smith Lindsay Smith is the author of several YA novels¸ including Sekret and A Darkly Beating Heart ¸ and is the showrunner for Serial Box's The Witch Who Came In From the Cold. Her work has appeared on Tor.com¸ in the short story anthologies A Tyranny of Petticoats and the forthcoming Toil and Trouble ¸ and in the comics anthology Strange Romance¸ Volume 3. She and her husband share their home in Washington¸ DC with a Sheltie and an embarrassing number of board games¸ and can almost always be found planning new roleplaying campaigns. Lindsay's Inspiration I first came across the Blue Rose setting at GenCon this year and immediately fell in love with the system. I loved the egalitarian¸ inclusive society of Aldis that still offered up plenty of danger¸ mysticism¸ and drama and-my personal favorite-horrifying undead monstrosities. (Plus¸ you can have a psychically bonded animal companion!) Immediately I was dreaming up new stories to tell in this universe. I wanted to pay homage to the rich background of Blue Rose for veteran players¸ while showing newcomers the wealth of storytelling possibilities for their own campaigns. The mere fact that Nisaba Press exists-an entire publishing wing dedicated to exploring stories in the Green Ronin settings' worlds-is so fantastic¸ and really shows their commitment to building rich and immersive experiences. I'm so thrilled to be a part of that adventure! Note: This digital edition includes PDF¸ ePub¸ and Mobi (Kindle) versions of the story.
