The Vernissage - a Zgrozy scenario
The news about the artist's return came like a bolt out of the blue¸ causing disbelief and consternation in his close friends and within society itself. Nevertheless¸ much enthusiasm surrounded the news that a vernissage was to be held. Artomowski intended to present his brand new works¸ created while in New York.
What exactly are these "Beings of New World"? What was Artomowski trying to state? Whether they like it or not¸ the investigators will have to look for answers to these questions.
The Vernissage is an independent scenario for Call of Cthulhu 7th edition. By default it takes place in 1920s and is centered around a Polish artist but it can easily be set anywhere around the world and adapted to other eras. It works well with our pre-made Investigator Archetypes . Inside you'll find:
- A classic investigation to be conducted during an exhibition of Zbigniew Artomowski's unsettling sculptures
- Letters containing story hooks that you can give to your players before the game
- Numerous pieces of evidence¸ events and Non-Player Characters to help you run this story
- Illustrated descriptions of Beings who embody aspects of the mysterious Lord on Amber Throne
Michal Gralak¸ author of The Vernissage¸ is an experienced horror and weird fiction creator active both as an author and a graphic designer. The Vernissage is his English debut.
The Vernissage is the fourth English release in the Zgrozy line that startet in Polish to a great success. To find out more see our other releases or visit our Facebook page (/ZgrozyEN). "Zgrozy" is a slightly archaic Polish word for "Horrors" or "Terrors." Following advice from English-speaking Cthulhu fans¸ we decided to keep the original title for foreign releases since it sounds suitably unspeakable and blasphemous to non-Polish ears.
