A Night at Darkbank
ALABAMA BOB BISHOP JUST ESCAPED FROM JAIL!
While passing through the tiny village of El Rito¸ New Mexico Territory¸ a lone investigator learns a notorious criminal recently escaped from the tiny town jail. Someone needs to track him down and bring the murderer back to justice.
A Night in Darkbank is a Call of Cthulhu Down Darker Trails scenario set in the wilderness of northwestern New Mexico Territory. The short scenario¸ more of an encounter¸ can be used in conjunction with other scenarios or as a short stand-alone game¸ possibly introducing an investigator or investigators to the strange and supernatural for the first time.
A Night in Darkbank was originally written as a campaign scenario but can be easily used as a short¸ stand-alone scenario for conventions. The Down Darker Trails scenario is set in the Spring of 1879 but easily incorporated into any campaign.
A Night at Darkbank includes:
- A 10-page illustrated scenario set in the American West.
- Two fleshed-out NPCs who might give the investigators some clue as to what happened in the unnamed swamp near El Rito¸ New Mexico Territory
- An adversary who cursed a town and the surrounding area and awaits more prey.
- A map of the area around El Rito.
- A handout that tells what happened near Darkbank 25 years ago.
- NPC and investigator portraits to share with the players.
- One pregenerated investigator.
