Kaum zu glauben, aber kurz vor den Festtagen und dem Jahreswechsel geben Torge und Flo sich nochmal die Ehre! Hund krank, Kind krank, Torge krank - die letzten Wochen kam einfach keine Aufnahme zustande. Großes Thema ist die Frage, ob es in einem Kampagnen-Spiel einen Metaplot bedarf oder nicht. Was spricht dafür, was dagegen?

In jeder Folge interviewe ich RPG-Enthusiasten und Profis aus einem nicht englischsprachigen Land darüber, welche Spiele sie spielen, welche einzigartigen RPGs es in ihrem Land gibt und wie neue Leute für das Hobby einsteigen. Zu den Interviewpartnern gehören regelmäßige Spieler, Cluborganisatoren, Spieleladenbesitzer, Ersteller von Real-Play-Videos, RPG-Autoren und Spielestudios. Während einige Orte für ihre große Rollenspielszene bekannt sind und viele lokale RPG-Systeme haben, gibt es in anderen Regionen der Welt kleinere Szenen und möglicherweise nicht einmal ein einziges RPG in der Landessprache. Jede reguläre Folge endet mit einem Teaser für das nächste Land - einem Ausschnitt aus einer Real-Play-Aufnahme in der Sprache dieses Landes. This podcast is about tabletop role-playing games around the world. In every episode, I interview RPG enthusiasts and professionals from a non-English speaking country about what games they play, what unique RPGs exist in their country, and how new people get into the hobby. Interviewees include regular gamers, club organizers, game shop owners, creators of actual play videos, RPG authors, and gaming studios. While some places are known for their large role-playing scene and have a lot of local RPG systems, other regions of the world have smaller scenes and might not even have a single RPG in the local language. Every regular episode ends with a teaser for the next country - an excerpt from an actual play recording in that country's language. The aim of this podcast is to broaden our horizon and find out about RPGs from all over the world. Enjoy!

Hallo zusammen,
einer E-Mail von Chris habt ihr es zu verdanken, dass ich heute einen neuen Download bereit gestellt habe, nämlich das "Best of MD No 1" - eine Zusammenfassung mehrerer Artikel des Midgard-Digest, die einst (1999) als Sammelband im Eigenverlag veröffentlicht wurde.
Es war unterwegs noch spannend, weil auf meiner Platte eine der PDF Dateien defekt war. Doch keine PDF-Version möglich? Ich habe dann aber auf einer CD aus dem Jahr 2000 doch noch eine funktionierende Version der Datei gefunden und konnte alle PDFs zu einer Datei zusammenfassen. Voila!

Hello everyone,
Thanks to an email from Chris, I made a new download available today, namely the "Best of MD No 1" - a summary of several articles from the Midgard Digest, which was once (1999) self-published as an anthology has been published.
It was exciting on the way because one of the PDF files on my hard drive was defective. But no PDF version possible? But then I found a working version of the file on a CD from the year 2000 and was able to combine all the PDFs into one file. Voila!
