Western IV

Western is a role-playing game set in America in 1876¸ 100 years after the United States became an independent nation¸ eleven years after the American Civil War¸ in the mythical Wild West. It is a turning point when several major conflicts are brought to the fore and new technological breakthroughs change everyday life. The last wilderness is not conquered and hardly even mapped¸ while modern communications allow you to take trains across the continent in one week. Revolver duels on dusty village streets go hand in hand with Native American wars on the vast expanses¸ mining landslides in the wilderness and the bustling crowds of people in a city of millions like New York. It is a time and a place filled with conflicts and dreams¸ just waiting for their heroes and anti-heroes. There are lots of adventures that need protagonists & dash; characters! This is Basic Book I for the role-playing game Western¸ because it all starts with the role you are playing. Here you will find everything to make your own character to play with¸ who at the same time gets a personal relationship with the gaming world by allowing you to present the Fate of Life for yourself and your loved ones. The book is full of tools that make it easier to get started and play. The system is so flexible that it is fun to spend time on those small details that make your particular role unique¸ while you can start from one of the 33 Roles that exist to be able to get started and play quickly. You can choose from three different Levels¸ which correspond to three different ways to play & dash; and perhaps more importantly show how forgiving the gaming world is to you. Advantages and Disadvantages help to define your personality¸ while you must use your weaknesses and limitations to take advantage of your strengths.
