Fantasy-Brettspiel. Talisman is an exciting marriage of role-playing and a board game. The setting is the mysterious fantasy Warhammer world. You and your friends each take the role of an adventurer on a quest to find the legendary Crown of Command. This is not an easy task¸ you must journey through the countryside encountering powerful monsters¸ magical items¸ and a wealth of treasure. Once you"ve gained enough experience and power¸ you can face the menacing guardian of the Crown of Command¸ the Dragon King. With a lot of luck and and a sturdy blade¸ you too can win the crown and become ruler of the land.
Talsiman is one of Games Workshop"s first and most successful games to date. Originally designed by Robert Harris in 1983¸ Talisman was an instant smash. GW released a second edition in 1985 which cleared up some rules questions and generally smoothed game play. Recently¸ the third edition of Talisman was released (in 1994). In past editions¸ there were a large number of expansion sets which added new characters and realms to adventure in. This new third edition has streamlined down to only three expansion sets (City of Adventure¸ Dungeon of Doom¸ and Dragon"s Tower). Enter a world of fantastic heroic adventure¸ where magic really works and monsters roam the land. You must find one of the Magic Talismans that will allow you to enter the Dragon Kings lair and then defeat him in mortal combat. On your quest you will encounter powerful enemies¸ discover friends and magical artifacts¸ and meet strange beings. Finally¸ when you have gained sufficient power¸ you can confront the Dragon King in your bid to secure the Crown of Command.
Talisman is a game played in a mythical world of dragons and sorcery. As a Warrior¸ Wizard¸ Elf¸ Dwarf or one of seven other characters with special powers¸ each player must set off on a quest to find the Magic Talisman. The journey will be filled with danger - monsters¸ traps and evil beings are waiting to defeat your player-character. With skill and luck you will survive to find the Crown of Command the greatest treasure of them all. Only then will victory be yours.
