Together¸ they investigate mysteries you help create by filling in the blanks.
The Game
Ghost + Human is an all-ages¸ no-prep¸ GM-less TTRPG about an amateur sleuth and their spectral companion investigating supernatural mysteries around town.
Built using the Badger + Coyote game system by Pandion Games¸ the game follows a pair of asymmetrical characters who have different views of the world and thus have different outcome resolution mechanics. The book is designed to teach the game as it's being played¸ providing step-by-step instructions¸ robust character-creation¸ and four fill-in-the-blank mysteries to solve.
The Human's strength is in accomplishing things in the physical world. They can attempt any action they want¸ but they have a better chance of success if they are doing something in line with their occupation or trait. The Ghost can help as well.
The Ghost has any supernatural abilities they want¸ like reading auras¸ seeing echoes of the past¸ and communicating with spirits. They just have to remember that to stay near their tether and that they must carefully balance their connections with the physical and spirit realms or they risk becoming permanently incapacitated.
This game was created as part of the Badger + Coyote Game Jam.
