100 Encounters for Fantasy Hills
This supplement has 100 encounters and events for a hilly region in a fantasy setting¸ those areas that are not true mountains but which are also definitely of higher elevations. They range from encounters that can be used to enhance a journey¸ to the odd¸ the dangerous and those that are potential adventure hooks.

Nestled in a hollow between several hills is a small hamlet surrounding a patch of water¸ invisible from the surroundings until one of the encircling hills is crested (the inhabitants' attitude is unfriendly to travellers and all attempts to deal with them are at -20 Base Chance - there's a reason their hamlet is hidden - but they will not be aggressive unless provoked and they think they could overwhelm those provoking them). Next to a path winding across the hills is a small waystation¸ a simple stone hut with a slate roof. By the side¸ under a lean to¸ is a supply of firewood (enough for two days). On one hill¸ the grass is clearly a different shade of green. The difference is very noticeable from a distance¸ as the colour makes that hill stand out (a (Trivial +30%) Awareness Test from several hundred yards or more away; a (Routine +10%) Awareness Test when on the hill). On the top of the hill is what looks to be an open-air temple. A ring of pillars surrounds a circular altar¸ all crafted from a marble not native to the area (confirmed with a (Routine +10%) Education Test). One of the hills is quite noticeably (a (Trivial +30%) Awareness Test) higher than all the others¸ standing many feet above the rest.
