This LARP is Nordic-inspired¸ which is a style of LARP from Europe gaining popularity in the United States. Whispers in the Night focuses on Consent and Immersion to build powerful¸ personal stories. By Consent¸ we mean that no other participant will be able to force you to do anything with your character that you don't like. The outcome of fights is consensual. Magical power success is consensual. If you do not consent¸ it does not happen. This is a very empowering style of play meant to foster cooperation and enjoyment in building a shared experience. This philosophy is embodied in the phrase: "You don't have to work to defend your fun."
