A wounded stranger¸ with deep pockets enlists the services of the party to take on a simple and straight forward job. This cake walk however must be accomplished with no one knowing they were ever there. Who the stranger called Titanus? Who is his employer Mr. Meeks? This mysterious Tiefling from Waterdeep makes sure prophesy runs its "destined" course but for what purpose? More questions will be raised than answered at the end of "A Short Term Contract".
