Eldorande is a gigantic world that is constantly changing. Many of the old documents that have researched the world's geography and its denizens disappeared with the gods. It is a high fantasy setting with a futuristic twist. Magic and sorcery and technology exist in the same world¸ sometimes overlapping to create amazing wonders. Eldorande is an animistic world where everything has a guardian spirit. Sorcerors wield power that can shatter the entire world. The Void has been freed from her prison and has begun to devour the world.
Warsong uses a unique twist on the d20 system. Character creation is incredibly customizable. You have the ability to create entirely unique characters. The leveling system gives you an incredible amount of choice as well. Two characters of the same Constellation could wind up being entirely different due to a Quirk system. Quirks represent the powers and abilities your character acquires through experience and practice. Each level gives you points to buy whatever powers you choose. There are very few restrictions to the powers you can acquire during play.
Constellations take the place of classes. They offer a multitude of options and growth options that adhere to the philosophical concepts that the Constellation embodies. Such as the Constellation of the Sword who is chosen from those who find vitality in conflict. They are the strategists and warlords of Eldorande¸ and none can match their skill in combat and none are nearly as deadly. The Constellation of the Wand¸ who take their own from the scholars and sorcerors who can shake the world with their intellect¸ uncovering the secrets of the universe and all things within it. The Constellation of the Crown¸ the life-blood of the world. Their decisions steer the course of mortal nations. The Constellation of the Muse who sings with the beauty of the world¸ inspiring artists¸ poets and musicians and launching them into greatness. The Muses are deadly with their instruments¸ wielding the secret songs of the universe to wade through the tides of warfare. The Constellation of the Beast¸ who are the wardens and protectors of the ancient wild lands. They are swift and steady hunters who cannot be outrun. When they choose their quarry¸ it is already too late.
Character generation is entirely customized and does not involve chance. You can build a character any way you want!
The War Mechanic is a unique twist on the d20 style. In combat¸ you are no longer are you fettered simple by Armor Class¸ letting the opponent hit you and then rolling to hit your opponent. In Warsong¸ you are capable of actively defending yourself and even mitigating incoming damage damage through armor and dodge bonuses. Abilities have been condensed into a simple attribute system that is both simple on paper¸ but complex in play. These attributes are everything you need to play the game. Specialties give bonuses to these attribute rolls¸ and can be anything you decide!
