Vencer O Morir: Kundt's Pocket at Campo Via 1933
The Battle of Campo Via¸ Dec. 1933¸ was the largest battle of the whole Chaco War between Bolivia and Paraguay. The Bolivian Army led by the German general had issued a "stand at all costs" to his weak Bolivian Army¸ it was his Vencer o Morir (win or die) order. Similar to what happened in WW2 when the German Army Group Center collapsed in 1944¸ the Bolivian Army was outnumbered by 2-1¸ with many divisions just weak regiments. As the battle progressed¸ the pocket began to collapse and Bolvia's tanks failed to do much. It would be the last battle of this war.
