Protest League. Heavy cavalry. Reitars 1600-1650.
The Protest League is a union of three fictional states of Northern Europe that decided to support the Protestants in the war of 1618-1648. The appearance of the soldiers corresponds to the fashion and style of their era. All fictional elements are sustained in the logic and style of their era. The album contains sheets with universal rank-and-file fighters and separate sheets with officers of all three game fractions. You can print the required number of soldiers and officers separately. The confrontation between pikemen and knights led to a temporary victory for pikemen on foot in the 16th century. The attacks of the brilliant knights crashed on the construction of Swiss and German pikemen. The response of the cavalry was the Reitars - horsemen with pistols. Remaining unattainable peaks for attack¸ these riders could methodically shoot infantrymen until a decisive moment arrives. Then the Reitars attacked with swords of the already demoralized foot soldiers. By the end of the 16th century¸ it was the Reitars who became the main cavalry of the European armies. In order to clearly reflect the Reytar battle method¸ we depicted them on horses¸ walking or standing still. This will help to better distinguish Reitar from Cuirassier. The album contains 5 color sheets for self-printing and making game figures. Stands and bases are not included in the album and are made by the players themselves in accordance with the requirements of the selected rules of the game.
