Protest League. Heavy cavalry. Cuirassiers 1600-1650.
The Protest League is a union of three fictional European states that decided to support the Protestants in the 1600-1650 wars. The appearance of the soldiers corresponds to the fashion and style of their era. All fictional elements are sustained in the logic and style of their era. The album contains sheets with universal rank-and-file fighters and separate sheets with officers of all three game fractions. You can print the required number of soldiers and officers separately. During the 16th century¸ the role of knightly cavalry steadily declined. It was becoming more and more difficult to deal with the dense ranks of pikemen and the pistol supplanted the lance in the cavalry. However¸ a certain number of knight type shock cavalry took part in the Thirty Years War 1618-1648. The Swedish king Gustav Adolf revived the heavy cavalry and its role. Armored cavalry again became a striking force¸ combining pistol shooting and melee attack with a run. To reflect this method of battle¸ we drew cuirassiers on horses galloping to attack. The album contains 5 color sheets for self-printing and making game figures. Stands and bases are not included in the album and are made by the players themselves in accordance with the requirements of the selected rules of the game.
