Panzers Along the Terek! Nov. 1942



The game depicts the deepest penetration of the 23rd and 13th Panzer Divisions towards the oilfields of Grozny in November¸ 1942. Operation Ordshonikidze was the final attempt to reach those oilfields that lay just past this city. The two panzer divisions had 150 AFVs and would come against a variety of American and British AFVs including Russian ones. Success seemed possible until they reached Gisel when terrain and fierce resistance was met. As the Russians attacked from all directions the 13th Panzer became cut off and now the 23rd Panzer had to rescue it along with SS troops! As time went on¸ it was clear the oilfields would never be captured.
