DISPUTED LAND: War in Azerbaijan¸ Sept. 2020



DISPUTED LAND covers the Armenian-Azerbaijan war beginning in Sept. 2020. It was a war over disputed territory since 1994 when Armenia had won from Azerbaijan. When Azerbaijan attacked to reclaim the land¸ it was a very modern military force with drones which proved to be decisive as the Armenian forces had no defenses to it and quickly lost 173 T-72 tanks and 23 SAM systems from the old Soviet days. At some point¸ a cesasefire began but did not last long¸ as Azerbaijan struck along the Iran border in mid October racing to objectives until fighting in the mountainous areas that halted advances by Oct. 24. Bitter fighting then began with turned into a slufest. This continued until Nov. 9th after Azerbaijan finally cut the supply road near Shusha.
Game scale is 3 mile hexes¸ battalions¸ two day turns. Comes with 280 counters¸ rules. Special rules for TB-2 and Harop drones¸ Russian EW¸ missile attacks.
