Hoaxes and Other Mischief is an add-on for Visions Dark & Dreadful¸ a role-playing game about Victorian ghost hunting. It offers guidance for creating hoaxes that masquerade as legitimate supernatural phenomena and addresses the role of detectives¸ charlatans¸ and sensitives vis-à-vis frauds and deception. The Player's Guide and the Game Master's Guide are required to make full use of this supplement. However¸ most of the content is applicable to any investigative game where the supernatural might be used as cover for mundane shenanigans. Hoaxes and Other Mischief is designed as a pamphlet.
