The Supernatural Treasure Hunt is a supplement for Vaesen based on Danish folklore from the 19th century.
A common belief in 19th century Denmark (and Europe) was¸ that blue flames marked the presence of buried treasure. Anyone daring to dig would encounter black dogs¸ dragons or the 'bjergfolk' (hill folk - nisse/dwarf) trying to stop the diggers from reaching the treasure using sorcery and illusions. At other times ghosts and revenants would guard the buried treasure. Daring treasure hunters would could follow the rules of the supernatural treasure hunt could win great riches - but the treasure hunter hired to assist might be a mere charlatan!
This supplement for Vaesen introduces the supernatural treasure hunt as a part of the Vaesen game. The first half of the supplement contains materials for the players:
