The Fachan: A Scottish Creature for Vaesen



Ugly is the make of the Fachan.
There is one eye in the middle of his head¸
one arm in the middle of his chest¸
one leg in the middle of his haunch¸
and one tuft on the top of his head.
And it would be easier to pull a mountain up by the root than to bend one hair of that tuft.
Fachans are solitary marauders¸ haunting the bleakest and most inhospitable parts of the Scottish Highlands. A few have been encountered in Ireland.
