In The Entombed Crown - Queen of Pain you assume the role of an adventurer in a Dark Fantasy setting. You will require The Entombed Crown Core Rulebook (CRB) along with any associated Expansions you wish to use to assist you¸ along with a pen and paper or word-processing document¸ to play.
The story is set up with an Introduction¸ a handful of Location Details and a few pertinent Story Points. The rest is down to you and your imagination.
The Actions you take should depend on who and what you see¸ and how you wish to interact. Keep a record of your story and adapt it as per the result of each Action. As you progress you will see that you are behaving as your own Storyteller¸ creating the interactive world in which you are playing.
Use the Character Creation section of the CRB to create your Character and use the Storyteller section of the CRB to assist with generating NPCs.

The Aranath Peaks in North-East Duntav are among the least explored mountain ranges of the Known World. It is said they were once home to a nation of cultists devoted to serving at the alter of the Queen of Pain¸ the Supernal of the Spirit Realm called Ezma. The people of Ezma left behind totems¸ temples¸ and relics all of which are now thought to be buried within the mountains of Aranath and caves below. The shores which surround the Aranath Peaks are comprised of a red and white side¸ believed to be soaked with the ancient blood of the enemies of the Queen of Pain.
Now a new malice has emerged from the seas - a fierce people who do not fear the treacherous waters which surround the continent of Urathun. Though no people of the Known World are without the ability to protect themselves to some extent¸ the swiftness with which the Sea People have been able to arrive and establish secure territories has been an awakening for all. Some long for the Queen of Pain's return.
