That Fateful Year is a solo journaling game chronicling a year of hopes and fears¸ triumphs and defeats.
Life a year as an escaped android¸ a famous opera singer on tour¸ a captain of a generational spaceship¸ or a dethroned monarch in exile. Write your journal. Feel the feels.
To play the game you will need this booklet¸ a deck of cards¸ and a notebook or a text editor.
The booklet includes 4 pages of rules and handouts¸ and an extended actual play to show you how the rules may work in the wild.
This is a storytelling game¸ very rules-light. There is no resource management¸ just writing prompts that make sure¸ they you go with your character through moments of glory and despair.
