Issue 9 (Volume 1) "Prelude" Betty explains what happened to her family and how they were captured. She informs them how some of the people are taken away from the compound and never seen again. A strange character that eats bugs attaches himself to the group¸ and his name is Percy. Bowker¸ Punk¸ and Eddie join Moloch in a special rendezvous to see for themselves about the area where the Gateway opening ritual was held. Mike is with them. The men and their helicopter has a battle with the group of zombies led by King Zombie and Moloch declares that he wants King Zombie captured…alive.
