New York. February 7th¸ 1917. A raucous celebration in the heart of New York City's Chinatown district. A banquet to entertain the heavyweights of the City for the Chinese New Year is set to bring excitement¸ health¸ and prosperity. The streets are full of joyous revelers¸ red and gold stream down the city streets. In all the wondrous fervour¸ no one would ever notice one missing person...
The trail to the missing Federal Inspector¸ Harvey William-Burke¸ has led you to 11 Doyers Street. The papers reported Doyers Street to be the home of the notorious Tongs whose members were dangerous criminals¸ opium dealers¸ and lords of sinful ventures. Assassins hide behind every corner¸ waiting to ambush their prey and escape into the warren of tunnels beneath Chinatown. It is here on Doyers Street the infamous Tong Wars were fought to bloody stalemates. Today¸ it plays a shadow of its former self. Today¸ you are part of the Chinese New Year's celebration.
In this scenario for 4 to 6 Players¸ Investigators will explore the 11 Doyers Street building¸ re-imagined over a series of ten maps¸ to uncover the mystery of the missing federal inspector. A Viper lies in wait for our intrepid investigators; their alien mind¸ incapable of compassion¸ manipulating Chinatown in plain sight. With a plot reaching far beyond the bounds of Chinatown¸ this snake-in-the-grass feeds off the unsuspecting and innocence of the City. The Players must use all their wit¸ cunning¸ and courage if they hope to oust this ancient power. Lest they find themselves lost in a nest of grotesque delights.
