This is a tavern and inn that can be placed within almost any fantasy RPG campaign. Hear rumors¸ trade goods and tales. Gain allies¸ as well as enemies. Eat¸ drink and be merry¸ play darts and cards¸ gamble and carouse! All is well in this popular but remote tavern. but for how long? There is a "TOWER DEFENSE" scenario where the PCs have to help a tavern full of adventurers fight off a horde of evil invaders. Survive¸ and gain some fantastic perks. Most of THE BOOK OF DARK SECRETS short adventures have a darker than the norm undertone to them¸ hence the series title name. This one is one of the darker of the 20 short adventures¸ so once again¸ this is NOT for children or those that are faint of heart. It is a dark fantasy meets slasher in a fantasy RPG setting. Adult and mature audiences¸ please.

All of THE BOOK OF DARK SECRETS short adventures are designed to take place in one location and to take up an entire evening's gaming session. These short adventures are dual-statted for 5e and Pathfinder-compatible campaigns for PCs between levels 1-20. DMs and GMs are required to be flexible with the creatures and stats suggested in these works¸ and to utilize their own creativity and resourcefulness to create fun and memorable adventures for their players and themselves. These are great as a change of pace adventures as needed.
If you are dead set and ultra-gung-ho about seeing stats in ONE established way ONLY¸ then this is not for you¸ and you shouldn't even download any free versions for obvious reasons. Remember¸ these need to fit into a very small space¸ and these stats are further broken into 4 challenge categories x2.
