Based on Chaosium Inc.'s Basic Roleplaying OGL¸ Toxandria is a complete roleplaying game! The rules are simple¸ easy to learn¸ and tried and tested through decades of play in a multitude of formats.
Arik poked at the keyhole with a variety of implements¸ twisting and fiddling. A drop of sweat congealed on the rat-faced little man's nose as he worked.
"Anything yet?" grunted the tall¸ thin woman standing over him and clutching a staff¸ eyes darting up and down the corridor. "I think we gave those cultists the slip¸ but we can't be sure. It'd be nice to move on."
"Hush¸ Ysella¸" Arik breathed. "This level of expertise can't be rushed."
There was a faint clicking noise and the door creaked ajar. "There¸" said Arik. "Told you."
Ysella glared at him and nodded to the short¸ stout man clad in mail. "Sir Lugorix? If you would be so kind?"
Sir Lugorix winked¸ adjusted his helmet¸ shoved the door open far enough to pass¸ and peered into the freshly-opened room. His torchlight danced across the tarnished silver of a disused chapel. Ah¸ now¸ this is more like it¸ he thought...

ADVENTURE The Setting
In the North¸ a long wall separates the Known World from Beyond. In the South¸ the crumbled remains of a worldspanning empire. To the West¸ the raging¸ endless sea. To the East¸ the wind-swept¸ endless steppes.
Islands of civilization and plenty are separated by wild places and the sea. The Imperial Mile and the Great East Road still run straight and true¸ built so cunningly by the Baessesseans that no blade of grass grows between their stones¸ but to either side is wilderness and monster-haunted ruin. It is said by the lore-masters in the Geabez Enclave that great and mysterious magics and artifacts lie in old Baessessean ruins¸ along with heaps of gold and jewels¸ there for bold and hardy souls to claim.
At the center of it all is the city of Ereslus¸ home to the various factions that contend for power.
This is the World as we know it. This is Toxandria: the Three Kingdoms¸ in which dwell the Free Peoples.
The Game
The tweaks we've made to make Toxandria special are minimal¸ and have been thoroughly tested.
Toxandrian characters are custom-tailored to a player's concept. Professions specifically designed to evoke the setting's flavor are included¸ as well as form-fillable PDF character sheets!
The Foes section includes dozens of monsters and villains for you to custom-tailor your Toxandria game. The setting lore section includes dozens of NPCs¸ locations¸ adventure ideas¸ and story hooks for your group to begin spinning fantastic tales at once.
