Tilt: An oracle for solo roleplaying
Tilt offers a different take on odds based oracles. Its aim is to help you generate obstacles that encourage problem solving using the resources available to you in your RPG of choice. This is achieved with a simple mechanic that answers Yes and No questions but has a twist of its own. You will find guidelines and examples on how best to achieve this type of play.
In addition to the oracle¸ included is an ideation process coined "Mincing Your Words" which uses your favorite works of fiction or non-fiction to help you generate narratives. My hope is that it will help your adventures feel more grounded in the types of works you love.
Note: Tilt itself is NOT a narrative oracle with lists of keywords or images to interpret. There are no random events. Its main mechanic relies on providing binary answers (yes or no) to closed questions in a manner that challenges the player.
