WBW-DC-Rook-1-3 The Rookery: City of the Dead

A 4-hour Tier 1 adventure in a Feywild Domain of Delight News of a metropolis to the west spawns a mission to investigate. The last known reports of the city are from a sailing crew that has been missing for 75 years.
The Rookery is a magical tome containing a feywild demiplane dedicated to the preservation and rehabilitation of endangered species. The land inside consists of several islands containing
diverse habitats such that any creature needing care had terrain similar to home. Once the species recovered or flourished¸ they were reintroduced to their native plane.
Unfortunately¸ before the domain truly flourished¸ the book along with an entire Fey queen's library was banned and then lost. It was ultimately forgotten¸ and the land within it left to its own devices for many hundreds of years. As time passed¸ the original monitoring facilities became a forgotten ruin on a distant island.
The domain has recently been reclaimed and a new caretaker is rebuilding the operation. Now he needs a crew to sail to a nearby landmass and investigate the inhabitants of the land.
The party will sail the sea¸ help locals¸ discover a calamity¸ fight monsters¸ and find magical rewards¸ all while uncovering the history of the city.
This is designed as APL 4¸ but contains adjustment information to run at any level within Tier 1.
