The Mystery of the Red Death

In the highest circles of power¸ a dance of death begins. Caught in a web of intrigue and mystery¸ the first innocent blood spilled merely foreshadows what is to come. Adventurer¸ can your mind pierce the encroaching webs deviously spun all about you? The Mystery of the Red Death is an intrigue-centered murder-mystery adventure for a party of four to six PCs of about 3-4th level. Taking place in the setting-agnostic location of Newfort¸ the adventure is intended to cover two to three game sessions totaling 6-10 hours of play¸ with an optional sidequest that extends the main adventure by about an hour. At 38 pages¸ the adventure includes a fully fleshed out high-society dinner party¸ fully detailed profiles of the victim and five suspected murderers¸ a nonlinear investigation primarily intended to be player-driven¸ and a climactic finale with options to represent the players success or failure. The mystery can be run by DMs of any level of experience. Included are two PDFs¸ one with a parchment watermark and one without for printing.
