The Kobold Calamity - a 5E Adventure for 4-5 1st level characters
Silverleaf¸ the center for learning in the northern reaches of Faerun¸ has long employed kobolds to tend to and expand their sewer system under their ever-expanding city. This has been a symbiotic relationship that has lasted hundreds of years. The kobold workers were prone to the occasional thievery or gnome tormenting¸ which is simply a part of their nature¸ but were generally well behaved. Recently¸ however¸ something has changed. The tribe has secluded themselves further into the sewers and caverns¸ rarely being seen¸ and have taken to doing organized raids on the town for supplies¸ food¸ and oddly enough the main library. These raids into the library have often resulted in injured sages tending to the books¸ the raiders being quite bold in their attacks. This as the kobolds rifle through the collected tomes obviously looking for something¸ but what?
The lord sage of Silverleaf has had enough of these incursions and has put a bounty out for anyone who can stop the raids and put an end to the Kobold raiding parties. You have come to the city to claim this reward.
