As peculiar as these folk are¸ they're the shallow end of strange where you're headed. Can the investigators¸ swept up in events beyond their control¸ visit Winterton Creek¸ and show they possess the fortitude¸ the will¸ the lack of self-preservatio n to explore the eldritch mysteries surrounding that which man was not meant to know?
