The Green Knight An encounter for characters lost in the woods. This encounter¸ intended to be inserted into any campaign and at any level¸ is designed such that it can be resolved without the need for combat¸ or any dice rolls at all¸ depending upon the choices of the players. It can be resolved within a single session and would suit any adventure where the party seek an evil tyrant or monster when travelling through the woods. Based loosely on the 14th Century Arthurian Romance poem "Sir Gawain and the Green Knight¸" the party will encounter a cursed Dragonborn knight and one among them will have their character tested. Great rewards await the virtuous¸ while knaves will be cursed by the forest guardian.
