The Book of All Ends
![]() |
If you could read how you were going to die¸ wouldn't you want to know?!”
A book has appeared in the sleepy town of Evergrove containing cryptic verse that can apparently predict someone's death. Three townsfolk have died in horrible accidents already and the characters are recruited to help investigate.
The Book of All Ends is an adventure for 3-4 3rd-level characters¸ and can take those characters to 4th level. It can be run in 4 hours when streamlined¸ but can easily last several 4-hour sessions if you allow the characters to explore all locations and avenues of investigation. The adventure can be adapted to fit into existing campaigns¸ with the village of Evergrove relocated to any rural location near a large forest. It has themes of fey mischief and murder¸ with the players tasked with investigating three deaths in the town and rescuing the Mayor's son from the clutches of a member of the Unseelie Court. This will require a dangerous journey into a fey realm¸ where the Half-Horned Duke resides.
