Temple of the Broken Prince
![]() |
A 2-4 hour devilish dungeon crawl for 1st-5th level characters Temple of the Broken Prince is a self-contained adventure that scales cleanly for parties from 1st through 5th level. Removing a cursed sword from a demonic temple places the party in an uncomfortable alliance with a devil¸ who coerces them into helping him destroy the demon's temple and seal a gate to the Abyss! This adventure runs great as a convention-style one-shot¸ an introduction to Dungeons & Dragons for new players¸ or a few hours of quick¸ low-commitment roleplaying. Just roll up some level 1 characters¸ skim the document¸ and get adventuring! It can also make a fun addition to your current long-running standard campaign or hexcrawl. It makes a great side quest¸ or an excellent way to introduce the Blood War between devils and demons to your players. Simply place the temple anywhere suitably remote that it wouldn't have been explored yet. If you're playing Baldur's Gate: Descent into Avernus¸ this adventure makes an excellent side-quest for your characters to encounter while wandering the barren wastes of Avernus. Inside¸ you'll find: A 12-room dungeon with an original map Classic-style puzzles¸ devilish allies¸ and a climactic final battle Character motivations for both the allied and enemy NPCs Rules for a sentient magic sword: Vilus Incarnatus Stats for two new demons¸ a CR ½ hell bat and a creepy CR 1 ferthuran
