Strixhaven Prospectus

Welcome to Strixhaven University the premier institution of magical learning in the world. More than just a university¸ it is an academy of magic and wonder¸ and a cosmopolitan unto itself.
As a student at Strixhaven you will be learning more than just how to be a use magic¸ you will learn about history¸ art¸ and arcana. You will learn to brew potions that put a stopper on death¸ to use your wit and cunning in the heat of battle¸ and how to resolve disputes using diplomacy.
The Strixhaven Prospectus is a handout to be given to new players¸ perhaps in session 0. It is a chance to give the player the type of knowledge that their character might have.
In this version (v2) I have intentionally limited the handbook to information as per the Strixhaven module (with some license). A future version is planned which will include heavier modifications.

The Barbican: A vibrant social location for central campus¸ in which students are able to participate in faux combat battles¸ cheering on their friends¸ and being goaded into facing ridiculous monsters¸ such as an ancient dragon. (published)
The Strixhaven Rangings : Every year the students must range into the wider world. Away from the watchful eye of faculty¸ the rangings are a test of resourcefulness¸ students must use the skills and abilities gained during their time at the most prestigious university in the known planes. Strixhaven Subjects for New Players : Developing a series of classes that could be roleplayed in a way to teach new players how to use aspects of their character. From VSM101¸ to Intro to Combat 101. Instructors give students practical instructions.
Strixhaven Subject Guide : Leaning into the idea the subjects should all give small rewards¸ and completely a major should ensure a boon.
The Strixhaven Mixers: A guide to what parties are happening¸ and when. How better a way to give your players meaningful choices than to throw raging parties the night before their exams!
