Something in the Water is a one-shot of my own design about a small thorpe called Wingston on a road frequented by travelers. The tiny community has experienced a sudden outbreak of sickness and have closed their gates to outsiders to prevent the disease from spreading any further. They believe the sickness has contaminated their water supply¸ a well in the center of town. They believe the spring which supplies the town's well with water originates somewhere in the Thornwood to the north of town.
News of Wingston's troubles has traveled out into the realm¸ reaching the ears of a budding adventuring party. While Wingston's leadership couldn't allow the party inside for fear of spreading the disease¸ they have promised a guide upon arrival.
Will the party be able to unravel the mystery and save Wingston from the clutches of this horrid virus? Or will they fall prey to the same affliction as Wingston?
