Problem Mini-Gen



Want a quick and slightly silly plot hook¸ adventure seed¸ story arc¸ or background detail? The Problem Mini-Gen is here for you. It alerts you to trouble spots in the vicinity such as:

  • There is a problem involving a rodent¸ a crescent moon and a purse. Aneam Keares the wanderer will tell you all about it.
  • There is an uncommon problem involving a thug¸ a crutch and a goblet. Ethan Leasela the actor will tell you all about it.
  • Natrael Ciyrav the blacksmith has a very large problem. It involves a detour¸ a scoundrel and coins.

Whether you need something to throw at the players right away¸ something to spark your creativity¸ or just something to make you go "huh?" for a few seconds¸ the Problem Mini-Gen is the way to go.


The program is written in.NET¸ so it should work on all recent versions of Windows and quite a few *nix boxes and Macs as well. (Assuming you have an emulator; I've tested similar programs on Mono on Mac and Wine on Linux and they worked on both¸ though there are sometimes slight glitches on Wine.)
