A one-shot for FREE LEAGUE'S FORBIDDEN LANDS.
You arrive at the Dowd farmhouse to collect some coin. Greeted by the forgetful farmer and his superstitious wife¸ they insist you spend the night. However¸ this homestead is far from normal. A massacred chicken¸ the strange glint within the dungheap and a rattling noise from the locked cellar suggest something is not all it seems. Why did no one mention they had a son? Especially when it was rumoured the couple couldn't have any? To get to the bottom of this you will need your wits and the courage to decide what truly are the makings of a monster.
A roleplay heavy¸ combat-lite mystery one-shot that can take 2-3 hours to complete. It can be set a hex away from the PC's current village/The Hollows/Stronghold. It's a great gentle introduction to the hiking and combat mechanics.
