Junkers: Scratching the Surface is a starter adventure featuring an original¸ grim and gritty science fiction setting¸ compatible with Shadowdark RPG or easily adaptable to your preferred system. When combined with the free Shadowdark Quickstart Rules¸ Scratching the Surface gives you all you need to run a 3+ hour introductory session.
Players form a crew of Junkers¸ hardened spacers travelling among the stars to salvage valuable XenoTech from ancient alien husks that drift through the night. Now a vast new ship has been discovered¸ and they will be the first to delve into the dark shadows that wait within. Whether they make it out again remains to be seen...
Scratching the Surface is a starter or Session 0 adventure which introduces the Junkers universe¸ an original setting which brings the fantastic Shadowdark RPG system into the sci-fi genre without losing any of the grim and gritty feel. This first adventure also features new mechanics for spaceship ownership and combat¸ which will be expanded on in future Junkers adventures.
