WELCOME TO THE HEROIC DEEDS QUICKSTART!
This is a goal-based heroic fantasy roleplaying game set in the World Mountain and using the Dodeca RPG system¸ which I successfully kickstarted in 2021. I'm taking that system and developing it further specifically for the heroic fantasy genre. I hope that you will read this¸ play the game with your friends and then come and join our growing community to explore the system and setting further. Any feedback that you can provide on what you see here will be appreciated.
This product will provide you with the rules¸ 4 pre-generated characters and a dungeon level adventure for you to get stuck into! A whole quickstart experience.
The system uses d12s only¸ those lovely but neglected dice¸ and has a narrative character creation process. Character's aim to complete Deeds in order to level up¸ rather than gain experience points per se. Your Archetype¸ the locations you visit and the people you meet will open up Deeds that you can choose to complete or not¸ as the story evolves.
The game has an old-school vibe¸ as you'll see through the artwork¸ but has modern mechanics. A large element of the game is random tables¸ which you can roll on or choose from to fill out your sessions.
Within this pdf document you will find pretty much all you need to start playing Heroic Deeds¸ but its not complete. There is much more to come¸ this is just a taster¸ and I'm building it out on the Patreon which you can find here: www.patreon.com/HeroicDeeds .
My intention is to take this game¸ with much more art¸ archetypes¸ setting¸ tables etc to kickstarter later in the year. So I really hope you like Heroic Deeds and take it to your table!
