When mysterious storms cover the Old Mail Road in a blanket of ice¸ the Guardians of Winterwall must rally to bring a misplaced bundle of potions of healing to the ailing children of the snowbound village of Otherside. Can the heroes cross the frozen river¸ solve the riddle of the Bridge Troll¸ and pass through the Many Mountains to reach the village of Otherside in order to deliver the much-needed potions in time?
Or will the Guardians of Winterwall be lost forever in the supernatural snowdrifts covering the realm of Yasmera in icy despair?
In this introductory adventure for young wizards and warriors¸ a group of players will explore a magical world of adventure¸ encounter quizzical monsters¸ and solve mind-bending puzzles. Players will need to work collaboratively to overcome obstacles¸ solve riddles¸ and¸ just maybe¸ save the day.
What's Different About this Adventure?
Guardians of Winterwall: Special Delivery was developed as an introductory Dungeons & Dragons scenario for young adventurers of elementary school age. As such¸ standard Character Creation rules have been set aside in lieu of a simplified system that presents options in a collection of Session Zero documents to be shared with new players.
Adventurers develop a Dungeons & Dragons character using a straightforward¸ yet comprehensive¸ method that allows for choice and variety¸ and provides players with a pre-generated Character Sheet and Adventure Pack¸ as well as Spell Descriptions for Spellcasters¸ Roles for Adventurers (Cartographer¸ Scribe¸ Vanguard¸ Ambassador¸ Guard) and Actions in Combat: Step-By-Step guidelines for easy reference.
Everything players and the Dungeon Master require for Character Creation for Guardians of Winterwall: Special Delivery is included in adventure so the action can commence as soon as the party dons their swift snowshoes.
