Dump Stat Weakness



My 14th Guide. It gives a minor weakness to each hero based upon their weakest characteristic score - Known as the Dump Stat.

>>> Does your hero know how to ride a horse? Swim? Read? As a DM¸ do you want your players to make harder choices on their starting attributes? Do your characters have some weaknesses? If you answer yes to any of these¸ I introduce Dump Stats Mechanics. <<<

The weaknesses are easy to get rid of but encourage the heroes to buy 1 skill in their dump stat. In this way¸ it helps make the heroes slightly less optimal.
  • You want your Fighter to know how to swim? Improve his dump stat.
  • Your Rogue is illiterate?
  • Does your barbarian only know how to speak Common? Maybe it's his dump stat choice.
