DEATH SHIP - 7 of 20
The SEVENTH of 20 short adventures for 5e and/or Pathfinder-compatible game systems for THE BOOK OF DARK SECRETS.
DEATH SHIP
Adventurers investigate a famous ship that was brought back from the bottom of the ocean to sail once again for treasure hunters and adventure seekers to enjoy. The captain of the ship brings the adventurers to an island cave filled with a tribe of humanoids that have a dirty deal with the captain of The Barnacle. But the humanoids are the least of the party's concerns. A cave filled with ghosts and tortured spirits dwells in Troll's Den Caverns as well. Can the party emerge from the caves in one piece? If so¸ they still need to deal with the pirate crew that eagerly waits for them outside.
You may play these adventures in any order you choose¸ but it is important to first familiarize yourself with the 8-part stat blocks and the dynamic between the PCs and the mysterious mission procurer known as Matigan Brennan. Therefore¸ you really should download this adventure below first - FOR FREE (PWYW)
This first short adventure will give you a much better idea of how these adventures will be procured for the players.
Most of THE BOOK OF DARK SECRETS short adventures have a darker than the norm undertone to them¸ hence the series title name. This is for adult and mature audiences¸ please.

All of THE BOOK OF DARK SECRETS short adventures are designed to take place in one location and to take up an entire evening's gaming session. These short adventures are dual-statted for 5e and Pathfinder-compatible campaigns for PCs between levels 1-20. DMs and GMs are required to be flexible with the creatures and stats suggested in these works¸ and to utilize their own creativity and resourcefulness to create fun and memorable adventures for their players and themselves. These are great as a change of pace adventures as needed.
If you are dead set and ultra-gung-ho about seeing stats in ONE established way ONLY¸ then this is not for you¸ and you shouldn't even download any free versions for obvious reasons. Remember¸ these need to fit into a very small space¸ and these stats are further broken into 4 challenge categories x2.
