3rd-Level Adventure
Crocodile Country is a Fifth Edition plug-in adventure for four characters with an average party level (APL) of 3¸ designed to be a companion piece to the Wilderness Tiles Reincarnated set. As a mysterious illness befalls them and a nearby village¸ the characters must enter crocodile country in order to locate the rare plant needed to synthesize a cure.
Crocodile Country
What Miranda refers to as "crocodile country” is a dismal swamp that once served as the site of a battle - though it was less a "battle” and more of a one-sided ambush that resulted in the deaths of hundreds. The swamp is littered with the bones of these lost warriors¸ and is said to be haunted. Many explorers and travelers have gone missing over the years.
However¸ it is much more likely that these disappearances are related to natural causes¸ rather than the supernatural: the swamp is infested with crocodiles and a deadly parasite called eye worm. Whosoever wanders into the swamp is bound to be at least blinded by the parasite¸ if not eaten by the crocs.
It's a dangerous place that should be avoided at all costs. Unfortunately¸ the very solution to the characters' ills - the plant Lordsbane - lies in this blighted place.
